Apogee 24, Year 820 (Abandoned Temple of Nephythys)
- The party find the remaining symbols of Nephythys and unlocks her protections. They then promise to the unicorn to do what they can to liberate the template. Then, they head for the Hall of Worship.
- An opaque dark fog makes progress difficult as the group ascends the stairs to the hall. Farra in the lead, they climb slowly, barely able to see a few feet ahead. The presence of Vylthymys is heavy. They make it to a huge statue of Nephythys. The goddess is weeping and her back bares the fledging marks. The sight break the will of Lewyn, Ryelon and Farra, but they stick together, helping each other, and motivating each other. Still, when Lewyn discovers the body of Farra's sister, it is a major blow. They also find the body of Galdar, and another.
- Almost broken by the torment of Vylthymys, the three finally decide to stand up, and face him. Farra in the lead, they stand side by side, yelling defiance until the evil presence of the god of torture is vanquished. The fog retreats, the statue of Nephythys regains its beauty, with the goddess now strong and healthy. The darkness stays at bay at the back of the temple. Although a huge victory, it is bittersweet, as Farra takes a moment with her sister.
- The three companions regroups and then enter the inner sanctum, where they are welcomed by a guardian made of crystal and half in the world of the dead: a crystal wraith. The battle is challenging, but the companions finally come out victorious.
- The group then heads to the final building of the compound, the library. There, they find the door locked. Lewyn levitates and through an elevated window, makes out the shape of a man crumbled in a far corner of the library: Ryelon's father. Using brute strength, Farra and Ryelon break the front door.
- Within, a tall shadow rises and they enter, a humanoid shape with horns and wings going in the rafters, four arms, and a face of darkness. "Let him leave," says Ryelon's father with a shaky voice. The group, uncertain, steps aside and the creature quickly leaves.
- Ryelon rushes to his father's side. The man is extremely weak, so much so that Lewyn notices that only magic has kept him alive this long. He gives his son an hourglass: "The hourglass of Karma. Bring it to Telstar, and have it fixed..." After which, the old man looks at his son: "I believe in you," he says. "I love you." And passes away...
- The group take a moment to absorb what happened. Then, they look at the hourglass of Karma, and notices a crack in the top portion, the sand slowly slipping out...
