Gillam is known as the patron of travellers and nomads. He is also known as the master of the Corridors of Gillam, doors located hither and thither throughout the world, allowing those stepping through to travel from one place to another instantaneously. Although the doors are available to all, they are extremely difficult to find and it is said that Gillam himself will punish those who abuses them. Several stories are told about people going in, but never coming out.
Although Gillam is said to be patron of all teleportation, there is one exception. The doors created by the Runes are not in his realm.
Gillam takes different shapes. In one, he has the shape of a barbarian of the desert, wearing on his shoulders the skin of a tiger. Gillam's right eye is always closed, having two scars given to him by a tiger. The skin on Gillam's back is said to have been that tiger. It is also said that Gillam can take the shape of a tiger at will.
Gillam has also been known to take the shape of a man on horseback, wearing flowing clothes, with a long scarf flying in the wind behind him. The horse is as black as the night and only its eyes are usually visible, two red dots.
